Youth Shaping the Climate Pact: December 16, 16:00 CET

Background

In the framework of the Launch of the European Climate Pact planned on the 16th of December and in the series of youth engagement events organised by the European Commission, the “Youth Shaping the Climate Pact” event stems from the collaboration between the SDG7 Youth Constituency and the European Youth Energy Network which consists of two engagement mechanisms for young people on energy topics respectively on the global and the European level. 

The event will showcase the fundamental role of youth organisations in engaging citizens and will give the stage to participants to share concrete actions and successful youth initiatives. The event will include an informative session on the Climate Pact provided by DG CLIMA and a panel discussion with representatives from relevant European and global youth organisations. During the event, participants will gather in different breakout rooms to discuss their role in the Climate Pact and present their ideas with Director-General of the European Commission - Directorate for Energy Ditte Juul Jørgensen who will share her views on youth engagement in the energy sector.
