Reception at the Permanent Mission of the Philippines

Asia, home to multi-lingual, inter-faith, and diverse identities, has been shaped by centuries of trade routes and political exchanges between neighbors and with the rest of the world. Such had borne witness not only to the richness of its shared historicities, but to the continuous pursuit of regional co-existence. This round table discussion was co-hosted by the Philippines Mission of the Philippines to the United Nations, which built upon the principles of “meaningful youth engagement” in the UN Youth Strategy, Sustainable Development Goal 16, as well as the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250: Youth Peace and Security. It was attended by young participants at the High Level Political Forum, UN Women, and UNODC.
