These are Independent Dialogues part of the engagement process towards the UN Food System Summit to be held in September 2021.
Food Systems Summit Dialogues offer a powerful opportunity for people everywhere to have a seat at the table at the milestone UN Food Systems Summit 2021. As we can see, Dialogues bring together a diversity of stakeholders, including voices that are seldom heard, and provide an important opportunity for participants to debate, collaborate, and take action towards a better future. These dialogues give us the chance to connect, meet new partners, inspire and be inspired.
It’s late, but there’s still time: Brazilian rural youths and visions to the future

This dialogue is for Brazilian rural youth. It will include a multistakeholder discussion of the challenges and perspectives of rural youth in regards to the future through a collaborative methodology. We will dive into the most pressing issues faced by young people in the regional, pastoral context and look at the actions required for tackling these issues.

Addressing Challenges in the Arab Food Systems from Youth Perspectives

Join MGCY's Youth Focus Group for UN Food System Summit's Arab Youth Engagement team in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for their dialogue on present youth priorities and risks in the food systems within 3 sub regions; North Africa, The Levant, and the Gulf and Yemen.
This event will feature youth representatives to present on environmental, economic, social, health, logistical, and trans-boundary risks within the food systems and/or those affecting food systems.
This is the first independent dialogue hosted by this team.

Innovation in farming to create a sustainable food system

MGCY Youth Focus Group for the UN FSS’s Europe team is hosting an Independent Dialogue titled Innovation in farming to create a sustainable food system. Speakers include Samuel Masse, President of the European Council of Young Farmers, and Diarmuid McSweeney of More Grass Ireland & Grasshopper with other speakers to be announced.
The purpose of the event is to hear from young farmers across Europe. They will share their experience as young farmers and agri-entrepreneurs and discuss the support young farmers need to create a sustainable food system. The Dialogue has been created by young people for young people. We want to highlight youth voices and in particular young farmers'.
