Friends for Tourism Launch World Tourism Survey for Digital Nomads

By the invitation of Friends for Leadership, an international community of thought leaders and entrepreneurs, the Asia Pacific Youth Caucus signed a Memorandum of Agreement at the 6th Eastern Economic Forum held on 2–4 September in Vladivostok, Russia, in the presence of FFL Founding Member and CYI Vice Chairperson Dr. Roman Chukov.

The campaign’s lead sponsor is @AsiaTVOfficial, an online channel for creative industries and cultural diplomacy, produced by UN Representative to the Asian Youth Council and Trustee of Guevara Foundation, Miss Regine Borja Guevara.

This takes place with the web launch of Nomadhood.co, a one-stop shop for digital nomad life in the Philippines led by Mr. Gerald Marin, MGCY’s Youth Innovator Awardee, in cooperation with regional partners from Asian Youth Network, ASEAN Youth Organization, SAARC Youth Platform, Japan Youth Platform for Sustainability, Future Actually Russia, and others. Under the banner of “Friends for Tourism”, FFL members share a common desire to exchange best practices and working solutions worldwide. Last year, in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the UN, Friends for SDGs Contest gathered youth actions around the SDGs.

Apart from promoting sustainable and digitally-savvy destinations, the inter-generational World Tourism Survey will be submitted to the UN World Tourism Organization, in partnership with Algerian Youth Ambassadors. During this celebration, a list of recommendations will be presented to foster the role the tourism for an inclusive growth. Indeed, there is a need to address the nexus of IT, tourism and work, whilst demands of the so-called “new normal” on working young professionals on the move.
