Youth Partnership for Peace and Development

Enhancing Youth-Led Strategies to Roll Back the Spread and effects of the COVID-19

Location: Sierra Leone (Bo, Freetown, Kambia, Kenema)

The project aimed at building on some of the critical and felt realities that is still not being addressed in the current response arrangement by government and other partners such as conflict sensitivity and panic management; reduce stigmatization of victims/survivors; and improve community level coordination through the local Chiefs/traditional leaders.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Enhanced participation and application of COVID-19 response and preventive measures through increased awareness among local communities in 4 districts.

  • Increased coordination among local partners in the prevention and response to the COVID-19 outbreak in project target districts.

Support

Out of a budget of $28,000, YPPD currently has a funding gap of $18,900 to role out its second phase of interventions in Bo and Kenama as new target districts needing social mobilization supports.

Other needs: Volunteers, access to information, technical resources
