Women Impacting Rural Areas #WIRA

Location: Nigeria (Rivers State, Owudo Base Community)

This is an initiative of women Civil servants trying to empower women and youth from the rural communities to have access to food supplies, and donations and skill development to enable them cater for their family and keep them safe.

Support

The project is aimed at empowering women in 4 rural areas and supporting youths to get access to practical skills. The project is also distributing food supplies to at least 100 households and targets reaching 5 hunger homes monthly. We also seek to support the most vulnerable and marginalised communities and help girls to get free sanitary accessories.
