Women Reform Organization

Location: Nigeria (Lagos)

Women Reform Organization is a Youth-Led Pan-African, Humanitarian Organization with social corporate responsibility of creating awareness, enlightenment and regenerating the giant strides inherent in African Women, through campaigns, empowerment programmes and advocacy for qualitative education, vocational training & mentorship.

We are also interested in creating a platform of business opportunities for Female Entrepreneurs, with the sole objective of sharpening their entrepreneurship skills aimed at eradicating penury lifestyle among African Women.

We have developed Women Empowerment Programmes, Networking and Sensitization Campaigns, such as; Financial Support For Young Female Entrepreneurs, Skills Acquisition, Training & Mentorship, Sanitary Pad Campaign, Gender Based Violence Campaign, Health Improvement Campaign, Women Impact Awards, Scholarship Awards, Breakfast & Business Networking, Book Review (Be-A-Reader), Safe House, Annual Conference, Road Walks and Entertainment.

The need for interventions in the ever-widening gap in gender balance concerning access to education and economic opportunities prompted this cause of ours in a strategic nation like Nigeria. We were infuriated by the ugly occurrences of gender based violence, rape cases and many more sad happenings and we believe we could play a great role even if the government is not showing signs of readiness.

Support

We have plans on ground for expansion of our endeavours and to counter the effect of the Covid-19 Pandemic, we proposed a 20 milion naira intervention fund for young people and struggling Nigerian women. We plan to host a fundraiser in October and we expect to generate 30% of this needed fund during the event. We are open to every other available opportunities.
