On september 24th, 2020 the the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UNMGCY) hosted a webinar on the topic of Youth Perspectives on Climate Change as a side event of the UN General Assembly in partnership with IOM, Refugees International, Zero Hour, Climate Cardinals, the University of Bologna’, and Uprose. This webinar brought together young leaders and experts who highlighted the inevitability of rising numbers of migrants caused by climate change and the need for the international community to come together to protect the estimated 250 million people imminently forced to move.
