The Principles and Barriers to Meaningful Youth Engagement document is a set of principles derived from consultation processes of MGCY and builds on its work in the UN system. MGCY sees them as intrinsic to any form of meaningful youth engagement with the United Nations. These principles also draw legitimacy from rights already granted to young people while engaging with the UN in various avenues.
