Beijing+25 Regional Ministerial Meetings and Civil Society Forum
Young peacebuilders, human rights defenders and climate activists came together from all over Asia Pacific, one of the most diverse regions in the world with the highest population of young people, to reaffirm commitments to the CEDAW and Beijing25 Declaration and Platform for Action in Bangkok.

We spoke about breaking the silos, and the need to not oversimplify the gender and age nexus, the increase of securitization in the region, as well structural gendered violence across all ages, castes, classes, disabilities, nationalities, and other communities. We speak for the social contract of governments to be accountable to their people’s.
