Adolescent Wellbing Framework.jpg

There are 1.2 billion adolescents worldwide, yet many of them continue to face multiple barriers to their well-being The health and well-being of the next generation depends on their access to education, skill development, decent work and access to high-quality health services - to name just a few. We need urgent action to support adolescents not just to survive, but also to thrive - but what does that really mean?

Healthy and empowered young people can be a significant driving force towards equitable societies, prosperous economies and a healthier planet but to achieve this we must ensure that the SDG agenda delivers for them. Join UN MGCY for a series of virtual youth-led consultations as we discuss what well-being means to us as young people and how to get there. The inputs from these consultations will form the basis of a new advocacy agenda on the needs and rights of young people, and help us drive the Call to Action on Adolescent Well-being.

We will be organising a global consultation session, followed by a series of regional consultations during June-July 2020. If you wish to participate in a language other than English, several regions are hosting multi-language consultations - these are: Spanish (Latin America), French (Africa) and Arabic (West Asia/North Africa). Make sure to register quicklyas the first session starts this Saturday!
