Sustainable Communities Coordination Team Announcement
The Children and Youth Constituency for Sustainable Communities coordinates and facilitates meaningful youthengagement in sustainable urban and territorial development related processes and avenues at the UN and other relevant avenues.
The group builds upon the recommendations and outcomes of the World Urban Forum (a non- legislative technical forum convened by UN-Habitat), and Governing Bodies of UN Habitat (Habitat Assembly, Committee of Permanent Representatives, and Executive Board).
The Children and Youth Constituency for Sustainable Communities continues to serve as a formal youth engagement mechanism for young people in several sustainable urban and territorial development related processes and avenues at the UN, including, inter alia the review of New Urban Agenda, SDG 11, the HLPF, World Urban Forum, World Urban Campaign, and relevant inter-agency structures.
