Apply Now: Youth Sustainable Energy Hub
The Youth Sustainable Energy Hub is a flagship project developed by SDG7 Youth Constituency in partnership with the world’s leading energy organisations. It is the first of its kind global platform showcasing the work of youth practitioners in the sustainable energy sector.
The platform addresses two of the four key areas of work of the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth: action and capacity building. The project will be a milestone for galvanising youth engagement in sustainable energy as we are reaching the halfway mark in the Decade for Sustainable Energy for All and entering the Decade of Action.
Top 100 selected youth initiatives will be featured on the platform to be launched in October 2020, thus gaining visibility and access to funding, networking and mentoring opportunities. Projects from all countries are eligible to apply via this form by September 30: https://youthsehub.org.
Selected projects will benefit from the platform by gaining global visibility. SDG7 Youth Constituency will work with the partners to unlock financing, mentoring and networking opportunities for the projects.
The aims of the platform are to:
Showcase the work of youth practitioners on all levels (local, national, regional, global) in the sustainable energy sector on a global platform
Share best practices and lessons learned to inspire youth in the sustainable energy sector
Promote skills and knowledge building for youth to become effective agents for change in their communities
Demonstrate how young people contribute to the implementation, monitoring, follow-up, and review of SDG7 and its associated targets/indicators
