Do you know that COVID-19 is a peace issue as well? We are all sitting in a lock down mode now, but do you know that millions of young people all over the world are clueless about how to fight discrimination and hate during these times and come up as united and display exemplary solidarity during these times. The uniqueness is this session is entirely youth-led peace dialogue on building compassion, kindness, and sustainable peace between Indian and Pakistani Youth. The session has been planned in collaboration with Dialogue Cafe, Lahore and under the guidance of UNESCO MGIEP and United Nations Alliance of Civilizations ; as a followup activity of our organization’s involvement in the #YouthWagingPeace SA Youth Regional Workshop happened in Colombo, Sri Lanka between 9th -16th feb.

Youth are calling for all key stakeholders to not forget Peace!

Campaign: #PeaceKarona
English: Let's Give Peace a Chance!
Hindi: Peacekarona!
Urdu: AmanKarona!

We are inviting everyone to a virtual dialogue #PeaceKarona as a part of series #CrossBorderSessions, where you will get a chance to understand how young people can actively participate in enabling solidarity and unity during the current unprecedented crisis in the form on COVID-19. We have young people, experts/ peacebuilders and performers joining from India and Pakistan! The sessions spanned over 8 days until May 3rd, 2020 will also be live-streamed on Facebook.

This is an opportunity to give a candid and real picture of what is happening to young people right now and how young people can flip the war and hate narrative to one which seeks “Peace” within ourselves and in our communities. Through the session, we also wish to create a lot of counter-narrative around the fake news going on. Lastly, we are also enabling music and other art forms such as Poetry to enable peace and cohesiveness during the sessions
