This is an urgent response action to compliment the effort of the World Health Organization and the Cameroon government in sensitizing the local population on the spread and preventive measures against covid-19 and the supply of basic hygienic protective materials such as face masks, hand sanitizers, anti-bacteria soaps and hand washing buckets to less specific strategic positions of public interactions. We also supply assistance of basic food items to vulnerable and needy people affected by the virus situation not to access basics for themselves.

We have already engaged in a two phase of this project and now in the phase 3 and work with the government Divisional officer for Buea sub-division and the Movement for Democracy, Development and Transparency (MDDT).

We have reached out to over 500 people with support materials and thousands with our sensitization campaign but we need to champion it to so many communities not still aware and those of needs to keep all safe with our target of reaching out to 1000 people in this phase of the project. We believe is a global fight that we tackle collectively at regional, national and community levels especially individually.

  • How to prevent it.

  • To support communities with 10000 facemasks

  • To support communities with 1000 hand wash buckets

This activities will be strictly monitored by project team members and designated community leaders on how this public support wash hands and soap facilities are been used. Also filling of water and provision of soap when is finish at various sports is a way of monitoring the project activity.

Also the education and guidance of community population on the usage of facemasks and alternative local substitutes for constants protection is an approach inputted in the monitoring of the project.
