End COVID-19 Now

Location: Liberia (Buchanan City/Orange Groove Community)

project 5 - Victor Bundor.jpg

Having seen the needs of vulnerable communities which has suffered from the Corona Virus restrictions of Physical Social Distancing and Lockdown, I and some other young people with the similar concerns were moved to take action to help provide basic food needs, and hygienic awareness to the most vulnerable and forgotten. The challenge was leaving from Monrovia to travel all the way out to another county and to be back in time just before the Curfew starts at 6pm.

This project is focused on Old folks from age 50 onwards. That was the second face of the fight to end COVID-19 under the theme: End COVID19 Now! which also has a Youtube video. I have been carrying out several awareness and assistance through Videos, and building of Tippytapps for my local community where I reside in Chicken Soup Factory, Monrovia.

Support

The project was intended to cover some major communities that are vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19 social distancing and compulsory lock-down that lead to shortages of Food and Hygiene supplies. This project was previously intended to reach out to major vulnerable communities in the rural areas of Liberia. The project allocated budget for the entire response to the call of the people was $5,000.00USD. Of the said amount, we were able to raise only $500.00USD that could barely satisfy the Orange Grove Community of the 50 targeted Old folks.
