The Global Compact for Migration (GCM) is the most comprehensive UN intergovernmental negotiated agreement that addresses migration in all its dimensions. Through 23 objectives, the GCM provides a cooperative framework to optimize the overall benefits of migration and address its risks and challenges.

 In the lead up to the Regional Migration Reviews of the GCM starting in 2020, and in preparation for the International Migration Review Forum in 2022, Migrant Forum in Asia (MFA), the Cross Regional Center for Refugees and Migrants (CCRM), the Global Research Forum on Diaspora and Transnationalism (GRFDT), and the Civil Society Action Committee (AC- for which UN MGCY is member and facilitator of youth engagement), are organizing a series of 23 weekly review discussions to discuss progress at the global level on each of the 23 objectives of the GCM, starting from:

1 September 2020 on the following time:

2PM-4PM Geneva time | 8PM-10PM Manila time 

3PM-5PM Doha Time | 5:30PM-7:30PM India time

 The weekly discussions will provide a multi-stakeholder space to review progress made on the implementation on each of the GCM objectives. Discussants will include representatives from governments, policy makers, UN agencies, civil society, trade unions, local authorities, private sector, academia and other stakeholders.
