Location: Bangladesh (Bandarnan Hill Tract)
The Hilly people are living in remote, mountainous, inaccessible and hilly areas in Bandarban Hill District, Bangladesh. The Bandarban District is situated nearby boarder of India and Myanmar. Due to living in most interior they are deprived from the state services and humanitarian supports. Even there is not any mobile network access at all. Moreover, they locked down by their own way following traditional and customary systems. Therefore, the situation for food, health, information and so on are getting worse. The village leaders and women leaders are still in active but they need facilitation and cooperation from any professional personnel and institutions for linking up others and receiving humanitarian supports as well.
Support
It may need small amount but surely will help them a lot for their survival. Because the indigenous peoples use to traditional food rather not rich food actually. The proposed project fund could be for awareness raising about the pandemic translating into own language (there are 11 ethnic minority groups living in same areas, they have own language, believes, culture, traditions, customs and practices), support rice, and service for children, pregnant women and aged persons for health and creating income generation for economic development.
